Efiia Cares Provides Support for Military Families

Efiia Cares embarks on new partnership with the White House and Leadership 18 to support military families

Washington, DC - In direct response to First Lady Michelle Obama’s national call to action to address the unique challenges facing military families, Efiia™ Cares is partnering with Leadership 18, a coalition of the some of the country’s largest and most well respected human development non-profit CEOs.

Leadership 18 member organizations serve more than 87 million people annually and have more than 5.5 million staff and volunteers.

Together, Efiia Cares and Leadership 18 are working to develop and implement a strategy and collaboration model that will improve quality standards, awareness and access to programs that support military families.

“Efiia Cares has been an integral part of our team since the very beginning of this initiative – working with our 23 member organizations and our partners from the White House and DoD,” says Doug Bennett, Executive Director of Leadership 18.

The team is working on both near-term goals, targeted for completion this year, in addition to a longer-term vision that will meet the growing needs of military families over the next decade.
